ABOUT LOS CABOS Los Cabos (the capes) is a large municipality spanning the East and West capes at the tip of the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico. Los Cabos is located 900 miles southeast of San Diego, California. The Tropic of Cancer crosses the peninsula 50 miles north of Land's End. The two main tourist areas of Los Cabos are Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. In the 1950s, Hollywood celebrities flew down to Cabo in private planes to fish. GETTING MARRIED IN CABO SAN LUCAS Legal Requirements for getting married in Mexico: All documents except tourist visas should be submitted well in advance of the wedding, since they must be translated into Spanish. Civil weddings are performed in Spanish by a judge and are legal worldwide.
This is what you will need:
• Copies of tourist visas (you'll get these on the plane)
• Copies of birth certificates
• Copies of divorce judgments, if applicable (It is necessary to be divorced for one year before being married in Mexico)
• Results of blood tests done in Mexico after your arrival to show your blood type and VDRL exam results
• Four (4) witnesses over the age of 18 years old with photo identification
• Copies of adoption papers or any document that justifies any change in your last names. (if applicable)

PEACEFUL COASTAL TODOS SANTOS CASITAS We're always scouring what's new, or at least little-known, in and around Los Cabos. There are times when we prefer to get away from it all and take a little time to experience Southern Baja in it's less developed, more natural state. Todos Santos, a bit over an hour north of Cabo San Lucas, is just such a place.
