Legal Requirements for getting married in Mexico

All documents except tourist visas should be submitted well in advance of the wedding, since they must be translated into Spanish. Civil weddings are performed in Spanish by a judge and are legal worldwide.

This is what you will need:

*Copies of tourist visas (receive on plane)
*Copies of birth certificates
*Copies of divorce judgments, if applicable (It is necessary to be divorced for one year before being married in Mexico)
*Results of blood tests done in Mexico after your arrival to show your blood type and VDRL exam results
*Four (4) witnesses over the age of 18 years old with photo identification
*Copies of adoption papers or any document that justifies any change in your last names. (if applicable)
