	TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL CHARTERS THINGS TO KNOW AND THINGS TO AVOID • Work with recognized charter companies only. It's best to do your research online before you commit. • Don't fall prey to the "coyotes" who stalk the marina and downtown areas promising low, low prices and "the best boat in the marina." Often times, you end up paying in advance only to find no boat waiting for you and no sign of the "agent." • Fishing licenses are not usually included. Check with your charter operator prior to your day on the water to see whether or not they are. All passengers aboard a charter boat must have a license even if they are not fishing! • Protect your eyes and body! Sunscreen and a good pair of UV blocking polarized sunglasses are a wise investment. The tropical sun can and will take it's toll.
